Episode 146: Crema - The In-House Design Team for MWG

June 16, 2025

One of Morgan White Group's "secret weapons" in the insurance industry is our in-house design team, Crema Design Studio. You may not realize it, but every single MWG employee interacts daily with things that were created or designed by the Crema team. But since they work in a separate building, many MWG employees wonder who they are and what they do. In today's episode we learn more about the people who help make sure that our websites, brochures, marketing material, and forms look professional.

Episode 145: Ministry Spotlight - Breaking Cycles Guatemala

May 12, 2025

It's always special when we get to visit in person with one of our international ministry partners. We recently got a visit from Betty Merida, whose organization Breaking Cycles Guatemala is working to change lives for kids and families in the Sumpango region. MWG has been a financial supporter of Breaking Cycles for several years, and in 2020 we dedicated our company Chrstimas card to the ministry. In today's episode we get to hear Betty's personal story of how her mother made one decision that broke the cycle of poverty in their family, and we hear how the organization uses practical and thoughtful programs to tackle some big problems in Guatemala.

Episode 144: Introducing MWG Technologies

April 21, 2025

Morgan White Group is made up of several semi-independent companies (we often call them divisions). Today we are officially introducing you to the newest entity on the org chart: MWG Technologies. Our internal programming team has grown from a single coder two decades ago to a dynamic group of 35 people (and still growing). Until recently, the programming team was essentially a department within the TPA, but now it has been spun off as its own division. In today's episode we'll hear from Jason Peets (who has overseen the growth of the team since hiring that first programmer) and Jeremy Williams (the VP of MWG Technologies) about how this evolution took place and what it means for the company in the future.

Episode 143: Changes happening to the MWG Retirement Plan Services division

March 31, 2025

Sometimes market forces outside of our control force the company to work through difficult situations. MWG RPS has been facing a "perfect storm" of factors in the 401k industry that are requiring us to make some changes to the division. Today we will hear from Allison Elkin, Vice President of MWG Retirement Plan Services, and Joel Jasper, President of Business Solutions (the group of divisions that includes RPS, Employer Services, and Payroll Solutions). They will also be joined by Chairman David White in an effort to be fully transparent with everyone about the upcoming changes, what it means for the staff of RPS, and how it reflects on the company as a whole.

Episode 142: Introducing the new Corporate Level Project Management Position

March 17, 2025

As the company has grown, we have created many new positions in various divisions –  but this one is a little different, and chances are that every department in the company will interact with them at some point. In this episode we talk with MWG President Ryan Eaton about why this new role has been created, how it differs from existing project manager roles, and how it will help all divisions work together more efficiently. We'll also talk with the person filling this role, Shawn McGregor. He is a veteran in the TPA, and he is uniquely suited for the role of VP of Project Management.

Episode 141: Discussing the Passing of Rick Eaton

February 17, 2025

This has been a difficult few weeks for the MWG family. In addition to many individual stories of loss during January, we collectively lost one of the leaders of the company when Rick Eaton passed away on January 27. Today we sit down with Chairman David White to talk through what this loss means for the MWG family and the company going forward.

Episode 140: Ministry Spotlight: Club 1040

January 27, 2025

In our first episode of 2025 we have the rare opportunity to sit down in person with Matt and Julie Beemer, founders of our ministry partner Club 1040. The Beemers have been living in Lebanon (even amidst the war raging between Israel and Hezbollah), but that's just their latest stop on a journey that has led them from the U.S. to England, Africa, Turkey, and China, among other places. Club 1040 has planted churches and started Bible schools in some of the most difficult places on Earth. They have also written a series of children's books to help kids expand their horizons, explore other cultures, and learn who they are in Christ (see below for more info about the book series). This episode is a great reminder of how our daily work here at MWG is having big ripple effects around the world!
